For Alex’s last night in Hawaii, we took him back to Tokoname for dinner.

T and I accidently matched. Andy Davis’ pelican :)

T ordered some ahi. Love the presentation.

After dinner, we drove to the Aloha Tower to see the MayJay RayJah reggae concert. Rebel Soldiers! Katchafire! Common Kings!

We didn’t get home until 2:00am and then had to wake up at 5:00am to drop Alex at the airport. One last Hawaii experience – Leonard’s malasadas.

Alex’s Spring Break

My brother’s come to visit us in Hawaii! He’s been here since Tuesday night.

Unfortunately, Trevor and I couldn’t take any time off (I worked an hour longer Mon. and Tues. to have Thur. afternoon off). So, Wed. night we took Alex to Crepes No Ka Oi where he enjoyed his first crepe!

Thur. evening we did a quick surf sesh at Castles.

Afterwards, we walked through the Kailua farmers market (I LOVE this place!).

T and Alex had the furikake ahi while I had spicy ahi poke from Hibachi.

Then last night, we decided to walk to Buzz’s and grab some drinks and appetizers.

This little guy was on Alex’s shirt! He freaked out in front of the waitress AND I grabbed the little geck and let him loose on the ivy.

This morning, Alex requested Boots and Kimo’s banana pancakes with macadamia sauce.

We stopped by the Puu Ualakaa State Park (one of my favorite spots!). It was pretty overcast. Still beautiful.

It’s time for a nap. We’re going to see Rebel Soldiers, Common Kings, and Katchafire tonight!

Hanging Out With Shmo

I am definitely a dog person. I mean, I’ve had fish, turtles, and until recently, cats. Since finding Lola, my idea of a pet has changed. She is the best. She is my everything. She loves me. And I love her. It’s been hard living in Hawaii without her. The plus side, she is queen at my parents’ house ;)

Like here, Lola helps my dad cook most nights. And because she’s so well behaved, she gets snacks throughout the night. So, dad made spicy linguini for my first dinner home.

She’s so independent. When we’re almost home from our walk, she’ll look up at me (or my parents) like she’s asking for her leash and walk herself to the door.

Our last walk. She was so tired she laid down on a neighbor’s yard before passing out at home.

She’s my little deer pig.

She does the silliest things.

She joined me on a practice driving lesson with Michael. That was an interesting experience.. Ha.

And my last dinner at home. Dad made chicken and bell peppers with thai noodles. And Lola helped.

I miss that sweet little girl. I’ll see you soon, Shmo Shmeeta. We’re still looking for a place with a yard for you.
