Sunday we woke up early to test SUPs from Tropical Blends. They are pricey, $1,600… BUT they are gorgeous. I’m thinking about designing a 10’6″. I know it’s a lot of money but so was my Roxy board. I LOVE my Roxy. It’s definitely an investment. I’ll always use it. Think about my time in Hawaii. Anyways, the owner took us to a break out in Honolulu (Trevor forgot what it was called) and paddled around. We tried a 9’2″, 9’6″, and 10’6″. While we were out there, I paddled next to 2 honu (sea turtles). I hung out with them for a little bit :)
Now Trevor and I had no intention of going out after SUPing (hence the same clothes from the night before) but he wanted to get his nieces a gift from the the Waikiki Aquarium. Once we got there, I didn’t want to leave! I’m obsessed with the ocean and ocean life and blue water and… :)
Clown fish!
I LOVE this photo!
And my FAVORITE photo: sea jellies!
Weird lookin’ fish.
HUGE fish.
Zebra shark.
Someday I will own seahorses like my old youth pastor.
Love these next 2 photos.
Commerson’s Frogfish.
Firefish.
Trevor calls this one the Mick Jagger fish.
This Humuhumu was taunting us. It took us forever to get a photo of him.
This guy wanted to be in our photos too.
We got there just in time to watch them feed and play with the seals. This big guy has catastrophic molting.
Clams.
Us.
*I NEED an annual place. I could stay here foreverrrrrrr.
We ate at South Shore Grill for lunch. I finally ordered something different from the menu – a salmon salad with vinaigrette. It was sooooooo good.
