Maui No Ka Oi

Yesterday we arrived in Maui to meet Trevor’s family. Unfortunately their original flight had been cancelled. So, Trevor and I spent the afternoon getting the rental car and checking in to the hotel.

We ran into Paula Fuga in the security line. I mustered up enough courage to talk to her. Turns out, she’s performing this weekend in Maui.

Trevor made a reservation for Thrifty’s “wild card” rental car. We was SO excited to see what car we had received.. until we found out that it was a Grand Marquee. Ballin’. Not.

Then when we were ready to leave, the low tire pressure light came on. Thinking we were going to get a better car, we ran back in to let them know. We weren’t given the white Yukon (the SUV Trev wanted), we were given another Grand Marquee.. in black.

That night, we had dinner at Sansei (my dad’s FAVORITE restaurant). We played with the camera while we waited for a table.

We had my dad’s favorite entree, the butterfish!
(Our last vacation to Maui for my dad’s birthday here!)

I ordered the Sansei’s Mango Crab Salad Roll!

We ended the night with dessert, tempura fried ice cream and creamy New York style cheesecake.
