Although there’s been NO surf this week, Trevor and I still made it to Castles to try out our new boards. Trevor rode his new 5’6″.
I rode a 6’4″ quad. And let me tell you, I think it changed my life. So much movement. Fluidity. It was awesome.
After surfing, we drove to the North Shore in search of the Two Crows’ shaping factory. But first, we stopped at a small shop.
We found Two Crows but no one was home…
We found this VW Bug for sale – $13,900. I was pretty interested.
Leaving the North Shore. It ended up being a warm and beautiful day.
Passing Stairway to Heaven on the H3. We’re planning on doing this guarded hike before we leave :)
In one of the shops we spotted this new addition to GoPro – Dive housing. This housing allows the photos to stay sharp underwater unlike the surf housing. For $50, it’s TOTALLY worth it. We were thinking about buying a Canon S100 digital camera and waterproof housing = $700 ish. So, BIG SAVINGS :)
Later we met up with Trevor’s friend, Josh and his wife, Avery. Trevor’s dream is to be a racecar driver, so it was fitting to be at Podium Raceway (AND it’s something we haven’t done here on the island).
We played video games and air hockey for an hour and a half until we were called up. It was actually a lot of fun. Trevor, of course, won first place. Josh came in third. I came in fifth. And sweet Avery unfortunately came in last.
After racing, we had dessert at Chili’s. It was awesome getting to know them. Can’t wait to plan some double date hikes :)
