Olomana Trail “Three Peaks” : Peak One

At work on Thursday, a coworker had mentioned that her family had recently hiked 3 Peaks. She said she scaled cliffs and climbed ropes. But she mentioned they only made it to the first peak. I told Trevor that I was interested in hiking it, so he agreed to do it. Sunday morning while getting ready, Trevor looked up the 3 Peaks hike on Yelp. He then began to read off some horrifying stories. Also, that it takes 6 hours to do all 3 peaks.. But we decided to go for it anyways..

Most people only make it to the first peak. So, this picture made me laugh.

This was the top of the first peak. It took us about an hour. In my head, I thought we were only going to do one. But once up the top, I knew we had to do them all – despite seeing a rescue operation in progress before starting our hike.
