After our hike yesterday, Trevor and I attended a benefit at the Hard Rock Cafe for Access Surf. It’s a volunteer group that brings people with disabilities back to the ocean. It’s something Trevor and I have been looking into. We’re also going to attend their meeting on Wednesday. Jake Shimabukuro (a famous ukulele player) also performed for the benefit.
He ended his set with this one! Dad, watch this!
Access Surf also hosted a silent auction.
Trevor was in a bidding war with a professional surfer. But in the last 5 seconds, Trevor beat him out of the “Surf, Sun, and Shades” gift.
After the event, we had drinks at my favorite place: Rum Fire at the Sheraton Hotel. I was on the phone with my dad :)
This morning, we enjoyed a gorgeous day surfing Castles.
Sundays are the best because it’s like a ghost town in Kailua. Everyone’s either at church or sleeping in. Trevor and I were the only ones out this morning :)
