“Whales live out here!”

Trevor and I spent Friday in China Town. We had dinner at Burger On The Edge. For some reason, it wasn’t as tasty as before. I think it’s because I’ve been eating better and running – I don’t NEED junk food.

We then (tried to) check out a zombie runway show our friend, Emily was involved with. But the Hawaii Hair Institute decided to put the show on at 7pm and 8pm instead of 9pm. It was still fun to meet up with Mitch and Emily as well as Joe and Easton later in the night at Indigos.

Saturday morning we planned to SUP from Diamond Head to Waikiki with Joe, George, and Katie.

Joe asked Katie to put sunscreen on him… But maybe a little too much…

But when we paddled out, we were taken further and further out to sea. “Remember when we went whale watching?? It was out here! Whales live out here! Whales!” Trevor and I joked half the time UNTIL I saw Joe slap the water next to him with his paddle. Trevor exclaimed he was scaring away a stingray. But I knew. It was a… SHARK.

We finally got back to George’s and decided to eat lunch in Waikiki. We enjoyed a mango margarita and a mai tai at Duke’s – as well as tacos and a Caesar salad.

While strolling the beach, we watched some surf contests – tandem and nose riding.
