Saturday was packed with activities. Dad made us scrambled eggs and portoguese sausage before we left for Pearl Harbor. Trevor and I made reservations to visit the USS Arizona Memorial at 8:30 am.
After watching an emotional and thought provoking film on Pearl Harbor, we made our way to the USS Arizona Memorial. The ship still settles under the water and leaks 1 liter of oil a day.
We were given flowers to throw into the ocean in memory of the ones that lost their lives December 7, 1941.
One of our favorite quotes:
Pictures in front of the USS Arizona’s anchor.
Looking at the inside of a submarine.
That afternoon we ate lunch at the South Shore Grill.
After lunch, we drove to Hanauma Bay to snorkel.
Alex tripping over his fins while getting in :)
After snorkeling, we decided to do Diamond Head Crater Hike together. Trevor and I posed for a photo similar to the one we took the first time he took me to Diamond Head in 2010.
We spent some time taking photos here:
Michael and Alex had a Titanic moment :)
We continued hiking.
The South Shore :)
