Phillips Ohana: Day Two

Thursday morning, Trevor and I woke up to this beautiful sunrise. We later met up with my parents and Michael and ate breakfast at the Koa Pancake House.

Dad, Mom, Michael, and I ordered eggs, portuguese sausage, and potatoes. Trevor ordered chocolate chip banana pancakes. DELICIOUS.

We then took a drive around base and came across this monument. This was a crash site for a Japanese Zero. FYI: the Japanese struck Kaneohe Bay before heading to Pearl Harbor.

Even though it was overcast, we still made it to the beach. This is a popular surf spot called Pyramid Rock. The only downside is that it’s located on base so the locals do not have access to it.

We met up with my dad’s best friend, Jeff and his family later that night in Waikiki. We ate dinner at Duakyu.

This was my favorite: shrimp tempura. Mmmmm.

These two were the least likely to try raw fish let alone love sushi… But they did :) AND loved it.

At the end of the night, we walked the streets of Waikiki. Michael, Trevor, and I tried to pose like the mannequins in the Forever 21 window.
